Director of Marketing - Cardiovascular Devices

We are a global endovascular technology company serving the needs of Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists, and Neuroradiologists and their patients through the use of advanced minimally invasive technologies.? We are looking for a Director of Marketing to have primary responsibility for developing and executing the marketing strategies for the Peripheral Vascular business.? The Director will be directly responsible for franchise growth and strategy.? This includes marketing new peripheral vascular technologies, establishing alliances with potential partners and physicians and contributing to new product and application development.

Responsibilities:

?

Product Line Management

??? Direct management of product line managers

??? Develop and execute business plan and set 3-5 year growth targets

??? Drive strategic and tactical implementation for overall product life cycle management as well as new product development and launches

??? Directs development and implementation of the product specific business plans

??? Drive and direct service improvement initiatives and expand product distribution channels through product/service programs

??? Provide focus and direction to product development and operational excellence teams to ensure that projects meet business criteria and realize outcomes


Business Development

??? Drive and direct service improvement initiatives and expand product distribution channels through product/service programs

??? Foster positive relationships with key opinion leaders, industry luminaries, and other partners to support product promotion and acceptance in both the clinical and economic model; as well as work directly with key opinion leaders for the development of new product platforms

??? Work with Sales Management to develop & implement distribution agreements to drive channel expansion

?

Strategic and Tactical Focus Development

??? Direct the development and implementation of marketing messages and tools for existing products and new product launches

??? Develop brand strategy and tactics to grow volume and market share

??? Develop value added programs for product differentiation

??? Work with the Product Managers on developing short-term and long-term marketing plans and tactics and review incoming sales and market data and trends and adjust marketing strategies and tactics

??? Participate in strategic marketing activities (including business development opportunities and product strategy teams) to identify and evaluate business opportunities and synergies with internal and external partners

?

Sales

??? Manage strategic and ?tactical sales and marketing program

??? Support existing product and value programs for the field sales force and customers

?

Budgetary and Margin Responsibility

??? Responsible for expense line management.

??? Development of tactical marketing plans and budgeting to support business objectives

?

Other Functions

??? Work with sales and marketing team to develop clinical expertise and support for customers to new and existing product application

??? Support marketing team on a day-to-day basis with the development and implementation of market messaging, sales support and sales training

??? Responsible for the professional development of staff, ensuring that the marketing team continues to grow in depth and breadth of skill set, as well as develop a footprint for succession planning

??? Support International regions by sharing marketing strategies and incorporating their feedback into world-wide product development efforts.

??? Collaborate with others on the marketing team to ensure an integrated the total marketing effort.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:? ????

??? B.S./B.A., MBA preferred

?

Experience:? ??

??? Experience developing and executing marketing or sales plans

??? 5+ years experience with medical device marketing, preferably capital equipment

??? Developed relationships with thought leaders

??? Experience developing brand strategy and tactics to grow volume and market share within the endovascular specialty call points

??? Successful product differentiation experience

??? Successful record of providing market assessment of ability to compete and win, market value proposition (pricing, features and benefits, market staging), supply chain assessment and recommendations, and go-to-market messaging

??? Clear communication of marketing strategies and tactical plans to the applicable field sales teams

??? Demonstrated success and personal skills in building and managing highly motivated individuals.

??? Demonstrated success in leading a marketing organization within a dynamic, customer driven organization that sets direction for an aggressive medical device sales organization.
