Director of Operations & Manufacturing +Pharmaceutical Industry Leader*

Our client is an International Pharma Industry Leader, currently seeking a Director (possibly VP level) of Operations and Manufacturing for a very major Division/Subsidiary (Multi Plants) headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri area.

 

This position will report directly to the President of this highly profitable and growing division ? located in highly desirable area, on a great campus setting.

 

The Director of operations/Manufacturing will be responsible for all manufacturing/operations within the division and tow plants with non-union population of approximately 550 employees.  This position will have 8-9 direct manager and/or director reports ? and approximately 12-15 indirect salaries and about 220-240 non-exempt/hourly in the P & L budget.  Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Distribution, Health & Safety, Purchasing, Inventory Control are the major sectional responsibilities and direct reports.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following background skill set:

 Bachelors degree (MS, MBA preferred) in Technical/Scientific/Engineering discipline, combined with strong leadership communications skills. 10-15+ years management experience in a GMP (manufacturer) environment ? preferably Pharma, Bio-tech, regulated consumer products manufacturing industry. Strong multi-discipline, business acumen, and management/leadership skills.Strategic ? oriented-yet large plan oriented. Broad overall knowledge in and around GMP, FDA, ISO, Quality, EPA, Safety/OSHA, SOP?s, Six Sigma (or similar), and rest state of the art.
