Drug Development Coordinator needed for PERM position at pharma co in Lawrenceville, NJ!

Kelly Clinical Resources is seeking a Drug Development Coordinator for a pharmaceutical company in Lawrenceville, NJ.

This is a permanent position.

The Drug Development Coordinator (DDC) is a "process extender and enhancer" for executives in the Drug Development Department.

The incumbent, utilizing his/her formal undergraduate education, as well as honed technical and organizational skills and experience, moves key aspects of drug development projects forward to completion, thus decompressing executive staff for more focused professional work within their disciplines (e.g., project management, clinical research, clinical, medical affairs, medical communications).

This position is not a secretarial functionality, but rather a higher level development operations key staff role, as the tasks to be assigned require undergraduate scientific education and relevant workplace experience for successful completion of assignments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities Relating to Drug Development:

Relevant assignments include, but are not limited to:
' booking and coordinating complex travel schedules with the company's travel agent
' scanning documents into the company's server (journal articles and other technical literature)
' reviewing scanned technical documents and preparing electronic indexes for accession to the database
' conducting literature searches on technical projects; making contact telephone calls for drug development senior staff
' photocopying, collating, etc.
' making appointments with consultants
' processing and verifying payments to consultants
' developing algorithms for tasks; requesting documents from literature searches
' collating documents
' setting up meetings on scheduling system
' maintaining individual calendars on scheduling system
' interacting with printer
' scheduling teleconferences; formatting forms and reports
' developing a manual of style
' setting up and maintaining clinical document study files
' building a PowerPoint presentation reference library; editing, formatting and creating PowerPoint presentations
' shipping FEDEX or regular mail packages (includes packing and preparation of air bills)
' shredding sensitive documents
' word processing of edited documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
' preparing and reconciling of expense reports
' conversion of other documents into .PDF format.


Major Duties and Responsibilities Relating to Medical Communications:
Relevant assignments include, but are not limited to:
' maintaining medical writing files
' cataloguing journal articles after entry into database
' scanning documents into the company's server (journal articles and other technical literature)
' preparing electronic indexes for accession to the database
' the review, triage, and archiving of technical scientific documents
' completing special projects.

Educational Qualifications:
' Baccalaureate degree in the physical or life sciences, and should have 2-4 years of practical prior experience in a similar or lower level position at another pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical devices company.
' In lieu of formal educational training, an associate degree in the life or physical sciences would be acceptable for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates, who have demonstrated experience through similar positions.
