Drug Safety Data Entry Specialist - Contract/Temporary Assignment

 Responsibilities

 

?  Record adverse event reports in ARGUS safety database.

 

?  Using WHO Drug Dictionary, record product codings of concomitant medications and treatment medications.

 

?  MedDRA coding of adverse events and narrative writing in ARGUS safety database. 

 

?  Daily reporting of pending adverse event cases.

 

?  Perform duplicate check of incoming information. 

 

?  Review data entry reports of peers to ensure quality entry and appropriate output.

 

?  Monitor all incoming information including fax, email, and electronic data transfer, and phone reports, etc .Route information to the proper person.

 Qualifications

 

?  Associates Degree required, BA/BS preferred. Education and/or work experience  should include background in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related area sufficient to provide demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.

 

?  At least three years experience in pharmacovigilance area including knowledge of ARGUS, ARIS-G  or Clintrials safety database.

 

?  Strong communication and multi-tasking skills. 

 

?  Strong personal computer skills including demonstrated ability to effectively use safety databases.
