ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

The Engineer, for Development Support will work in an pilot scale Technical
Support Facility, TSF, participating on a cross functional team involved in the
development and optimization of biologic manufacturing processes. The candidate
will design and execute experiments at pilot scale equipment such as
bioreactors and chromatograph skids, centrifuge and filtration units to support
the development of robust biologics manufacturing processes. Primary duties
will be to design and execute cell culture and protein purification process,
conduct critical process parameter analyses, perform scale up and down
qualification studies. Additional responsibilities will be to assess and
introduce innovative process technologies for large scale commercial biologics
manufacturing. This position is also responsible for maintaining state of the
art knowledge in either upstream, cell culture and its harvest, or downstream
process, purification such as chromatograph,for biologics production. The
position is also expected to establish a close collaboration with development,
bioanalytical personnel.

Job Requirements/Education:

The successful candidate will have a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D Degree in a
Biochemical Engineering or Cell Biology Science or related discipline, with 0
to 3 years of industry experience. The candidate must be proficient in upstream
cell culture or downstream purification process science, and have experience in
pilot plantor laboratory environment. cGMP experience is preferred. Successful
candidate will demonstrate good communication skills and proven ability to work
with others. Candidate must have high quality standards, and must be self
motivated. Experience in Biotechnology is plus.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
