Description:
The Epidemiologist will routinely review relevant literature and provide insight to the clinical team. Participation in and review of relevant manuscripts will be needed. The Epidemiologist will function as part of the study team for global burden of disease studies. In this role the individual will be expected to provide guidance for conduct of these types of trials in an industry setting and participate in the ongoing conduct of the studies with respect to the epidemiological components. Interaction with company global affiliates will be necessary. Interaction with key opinion leaders, governmental and non-governmental officials as needed. In addition, this individual will be part of an Epidemiology Implementation Committee within the company to introduce standards, templates and procedures for conducting epidemiological trials.
