To assist us with the growth of our contact lens business, we are seeking a Facilities Manager Responsibilities include:Experience in managing operating expenses in excess of $20.0MM annually, Experience in managing capital projects of over $35.0 MM, must have experience with a 24/7 operation and Medical Device or Pharmaceutical experience required.Under minimal supervision, oversees planning, design, construction, maintainence, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Trains, develops and evaluates staff. Collects and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, corporate or government restrictions, required completion dates, construction feasibility. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs. Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications and schedules. Responsible for the physical maintainence of the facility and production equipment. Evaluates and selects contractors/vendors. Ensures contractors meet all performance requirements, including cost, quality, safety and environmental. Trains, develops, and evaluates staff. Prepares and manages facilities and maintainece capital and expense budgets. Develop and implement a two year rolling facilities growth plan. Establish a preventative maintainence system to meet FDA and ISO requirments. Maintains a documented maintaince history on all equipment. Responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Maintainence Excellence program. Evaluate and implement best practices, establish performance metrics and train personnel to exceed world class performance. Provide direction to ensure all safety and environmental requirements for the site are met. Complete safety and environmental action plans on time. Develop metrics and establish baselines for the site's environmental performance. Incorporate J&J next generation environmental goals. Achieve all stages of the Energy Star program. Qualified candidates for this position will have: B.S. degree in engineering or the equivalent years of experience necessary to gain the knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree. Requires degree plus 3 years facilities supervisory/management experience and a minimum of seven years of total facilities/maintenance experience with facilities engineering experience. Ability to build effective interdependent partnering relationships which result in obtaining facilitiies/maintainence goals/objectives. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within time frames and budgetary restrictions. Ability to apply basic project management techniques to complete assigned projects within timelines/budget restrictions (Microsoft Project). Ability to apply OSHA regulations, corporate requirements and local building codes/requirements to projects which result in total compliance.
