Facility Engineer LSCC Design

Job Responsibilities:

Participate in the design, construction, qualification, startup and operation
of a Large Scale Cell Culture LSCC facility. Module I is a 60 month project, is
team based, full time commitment. The major design effort will last 12 to 18
months and will occur at the Fluor Corporation offices in Greenville, South
Carolina. Travel during the design effort is expected to average 50 percent,
with a higher percentage of travel in the earlier months of the project. At or
near the completion of design, relocation to the LSCC facility vicinity, is
expected. You will partner with GE to assure correct application of the design
concurrent with construction activities. Team members will also participate in
validation activities occurring concurrent with construction, oversee
construction from the owners stand point and make all preparations leading to a
fully compliant, safe and licensed manufacturing facility. Team members will
work closely with their counterparts in Global Engineering, Fluor and the
construction firm, TBD, as well as with their BMS peers in Quality, EHS, etc.
Team members will participate in hiring of subsequent BMS staff for the LSCC.
The Facility Engineer will haveaccountability for the utilities and physical
plant, leading to a functional, reliable supply of all support services. The
Facility Engineer will have accountability for all related SOPs and support
documentation.

Job Requirements/Education:

The successful candidate will have, at a minimum, a BS in Chemical or
Biochemical Engineering with 3 to 5 years experience with facilities
engineering in manufacturing operations in the Biotechnology manufacturing
industry.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
