Financial Compliance Specialist

Assist the Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance in preparing SEC filings, including annual and quarterly reports, forms, and correspondence by ensuring accuracy and completeness of data and disclosures; Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP, SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; Assist in and perform accounting research and compliance activities related to filings and other technical accounting issues; Prepare and maintain all supporting documentation for financial statements and related footnotes; Participate in quarterly and annual audits by external auditors; Assist the Director of Financial Reporting and Compliance in performing annual Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities.

 

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification desired; 2-5 years of experience in progressive accounting positions in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both, some portion of which should be related to SEC reporting or auditing of public companies.

 

Knowledge/Skills Needed:

Knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting regulations; Some knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley regulations desired; Experience in preparing SEC filings.
