Genotyping Scientist
Currently, one of our clients in the Collegeville, PA area is seeking a Genotyping Scientist to join their group immediately for an exciting 1-year assignment!
This position will include sharing time between research (molecular and cellular) and Automation optimization. The candidate will spend 50% of his/her time on research, and the other 50% of their time performing High-throughput screening.
Candidate will perform general molecular and cellular biology techniques including primary cell culture, transient transfections, viral transduction, and cell based assays including ELISA's, IP-kinase assays, and reporter assays. The molecular focus of this position will include : RNA extraction, quantitative PCR, RNAi, and gel electrophoresis.
Education/Experience:
BS Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field with pertinent pharmaceutical lab experience, and prior Automation/High throughput screening experience highly desirable.
Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes. Knowledge of bone and cartilage biology would be a plus.
