Human Resources Manager
A global Pharmaceutical company is seeking a Human Resources Manager based in Miami, Florida. The individual will report to the U.S. Director of Human Resources. Direct Reports: HR Associate.
JOB OUTLINE: Manage HR activities for the Coral Gables Office
Proactively manage all activities of the Human Resources function including, but not limited to facilitation of recruitment and selection, employee relations, benefits administration and the coordination of consistent HR practices in support of our primary objective to service the business and provide outstanding customer service to our client base.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION
Responsible for the recruitment and selection activities of the site.
Develop attraction and sourcing strategies particularly for positions with strong growth forecasts and difficult-to-hire variables.
Implement and enforce all corporate HR policies and practices as they relate to recruitment
Conduct all pre-employment screens and tests, generate offer letters, collect interview evaluations from managers.
Manage activities and expenses of external recruiting firms.
Train and coach managers and employees as appropriate regarding recruiting policies and practices.
Monitor the effectiveness of recruiting sources and recommend changes and/or enhancements.
? Coordinate company relocation program with outside vendor. COMPLIANCE:
Submit required data to outside consultant to compile and analyze facility AAP. Educate managers on the data collected and develop strategies to address underutilization.
Develop a range of activities related to government compliance including, but not limited to, the maintenance, monitoring, training and communication of AAP.
Analyze EEO statistical data to identify trends that may adversely impact the company?s compliance with AA requirements and make recommendations for improvement.
Review interview evaluation forms submitted by managers. Ensure forms are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with EEO regulations. Review new hire justifications for reasonableness, if justifications are lacking, make suggestions to managers for improvement.
? Review company?s practices relating to hiring, training, transfer and promotion; make recommendations for corrective action and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
? Ensure compliance with federal immigration regulations. Partner closely with the company immigration attorney to secure appropriate work visas, permanent residencies, etc.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:
? Coordinate and participate, along with management, in the employee relation?s function including handling inquiries and disciplinary action for deminimis infractions. Keep Director informed of potential need for conflict resolution.
? Assist management with the performance management process.
? Maintain good communication and positive relationships with employees to promote employee satisfaction.
? Conduct employee exit interviews to gain insight on employee satisfaction levels regarding environment, training, compensation, rewards and recognition and management support.
? Investigate problems such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions and employee and applicant complaints, keep HR manager informed of all problems.
? Provide guidance and recommend problem resolutions to department managers.
OTHER DUTIES:
? Assist Managers with the development of new or updating current job descriptions.
? Coordinates company benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, 401(k), etc. working with US Benefit Manager.
? Ensuring the facility is complying with all company policies and procedures; administer policies and procedures as necessary.
? Administer company compensation and reward programs.
? Administer company performance management and appraisal.
? Facilitate company training and orientation program.
? Remain knowledgeable about current HR related news and trends
? Maintain confidentiality.
? Perform other work related duties as assigned or as become evident.
? Work with SVP Global Human Resources on projects and initiatives.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, relevant work experience will be considered.
PHR certification preferred.
Six years of relevant experience in a Human Resource environment with at least two of those years experience recruiting all levels of employees. Pharmaceutical experience a plus.
Affirmative Action /EEO compliance experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS:
Ability to develop and maintain a credible and service-oriented Human Resource Department for the company.
Ability to handle highly confidential materials
Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish, (written and verbal) professionally and courteously with all levels of the organization.
Excellent human relations skills are crucial in order to deal with employee problems, legal issues and other delicate personnel related issues.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal hiring managers, peers, subordinates and external candidates.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and balance the demands of several managers and departments.
Computer experience with demonstrated ability in Microsoft word, Excel and HRIS.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to travel as needed. (approximately 10%)
Ability to prioritize assignments of self and others.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to operate the following office equipment: computer, telephone, photocopier, facsimile, and calculator.
