IND/SR. PROCESS SUPPORT ASSOCIATE

Perform and coordinate all activities, including designing, performing and documenting experiments, etc., associated with support of commercialized products between Gen-Probe and its? business partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

?  Perform experiments and studies related to support of Gen-Probe products and/or the investigation and resolution of technical issues. Coordinate and present findings to external business partners.

?  Design and perform experiments related to the investigation and resolution of customer complaints. Coordinate with partner companies to distribute report findings and manage field improvement implementations.

?  Analyze data from a variety of sources regarding product performance and generate summary reports for internal approval and distribution to partner businesses.

?  Write and execute experimental protocols/reports and circulate for approval.

?  Demonstrate proficiency in analytical and performance testing methods used in Product Support.

?  Maintain adequate documentation of completed experiments, investigations, and studies.

?  Write and present technical information and field communications to all levels of management within Gen-Probe and applicable business partners.

?  Travel to business partners and customer sites to represent Gen-Probe in matters concerning technical resolution of customer complaints regarding Gen-Probe commercialized products.

?  Integrate business processes relating to product support across multiple internal and external organizations.

?  Perform other related duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

?  Bachelors or equivalent in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field.

?  The required skills, knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of 5 years experience in the biotech field.

?  Understanding of common laboratory procedures and production methods is essential.

?  Good understanding of interactions between product chemistry and instrument platform engineering and software.

?  Good knowledge of statistics, experimental design and data analysis is also required.

?  Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

?  Must be creative and adept at problem-solving and technical troubleshooting of processes.

?  Must be highly proficient at adapting to the changing landscape of business arrangements and demonstrate an ability to integrate processes between organizations.

?  Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively across the spectrum of the organizational management is essential.

?  Must be able to present technical data to various business partners and customer sites as a representative of Gen-Probe and our product families.

?  High degree of initiative and ability to perform with minimal direction required.
