Information Request Analyst

Project Description:  Skills for contributing to SRM-SO: 

? Highly skilled in SQL and other programming language, SAS is a plus.

? Experience with safety/clinical databases (ARGUS, ARISg, ClinTrace, Oracle AERS)

? Experience with relational databases, document management systems (Documentum)

? Experience with Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio) and query tools (Toad)

? Knowledge of web-based architecture, language, and tools

? Basic knowledge of web server technology and protocols including IIS

? Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and .NET language syntax

? Knowledge of Plumtree software package including Content Server module

? Ability to interface with both customers and technical support to triage and resolve issues in a multi-application environment

? Customer-focus in support of data requests from various customer bases

? Detail-oriented to ensure quality of reports

? Willingness to learn

? Willingness to facilitate solutions

? Experience in a matrixed Team environment

? Negotiation skills

 

Support volume of requests for information:

? Ad hoc data requests

? Audits and regulatory reporting

? Data request process development

Project Support:

? Requirements gathering and definition

? Ability to drive business requirements into system change definitions

 

The major duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Process queries to support information requests from SRM data sources and broker access to other Worldwide Development information sources for SRM staff.

 

Provide operational support to business for all deployed applications. Operational support includes responding to business area data requests, diagnosing and triaging user problems and assisting database change management maintenance functions.

 

Work with business and technical groups to provide impact assessments of business and technical change. Includes the identification of affected processes and applications, required changes to these processes and applications, and alternatives to mitigate impact.

 

Provide implementation services for projects in a collaborative model with the business and technology stakeholders. Services include requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, communications and change control.

 

Develop and sustain constructive partnerships between business and technical (SRM, DEVi, CIT) groups to ensure success of information management projects.

 

Monitor the portfolio of processes and applications within SRM and Worldwide Development to ensure information solutions are leveraged as broadly as possible, and to prevent process and technology silos.

 

Required Skills:  SQL, Programming Languages, Safety/Clinical Databases, MS Office, Visio, and Query Tools.

 

This 12+ month position starts ASAP.
