LEAD MICROBIOLOGIST - OTC Manufacturing

Our entrepreneurial leadership style continues to move our company forward and has brought us into a period of phenomenal growth.  The Cumberland, RI facility procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of personal care aerosol and liquid products for major multi-national marketing companies.

 

We are searching for a talented Microbiology Supervisor to lead the Microbiology Lab team in our Cumberland facility.  You will be expected to maintain product quality by conducting microbiologic tests; and communicating results to the Plant Management team.

Key Responsibilities in this role:Organizes work by confirming product specifications.Maintains clean and safe work environment by maintaining aseptic methods and protocols; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Prepares cultures by obtaining in-process and finished product samplesIdentifies micro-organisms by conducting microscopic examinations.Documents and reports quality results by completing reports and logs; communicating results and required adjustments to manufacturing.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations.Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

 

Ideal candidate will be improvement driven with a desire to achieve and possesses:Degree in Microbiology / Chemistry, or relatedMinimum of 4 Years experience in a Manufacturing Environment (OTC, H&BA, Food, Pharmaceutical, Beverage) Must have supervisory experience in prior/current positionExcellent verbal & written communication skillsRelationship building skills Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, Word
