Lab Technician I – Research Associate III (job code 06-032)

This is an entry-level opportunity to work in a pharmaceutical research and quality control laboratory utilizing modern analytical instrumentation in a new facility. The ideal candidate will perform sampling and laboratory testing of raw materials, solvents, reagents, intermediates, and final Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) following cGLP/ cGMP procedures. Laboratory testing will include the determination of chemical purity and physical characteristics or composition of materials for the purpose of quality and/or process control and product development. The candidate should be familiar with the theory and/or the operation and maintenance of analytical equipment such as HPLC, FTIR, KF titrator, balances, etc. to be used for testing materials for release in a pharmaceutical quality control (cGLP/cGMP) environment. The position requires an understanding and proficiency at sample and data tracking and management including the use of notebooks and computerized systems. A B.S./B.A. in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or related scientific fields with 1 to 5 years of related laboratory experience and/or training is required. Level to commensurate with experience.
