Job Summary:

The qualified individual will supervise and perform complex and critical processes

associated with automated filling, capping and labeling of Illumina genotyping and gene expression reagents.  An excellent opportunity for an experienced person to build and establish a team around a custom automated filling solution.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to:Perform and supervise routine maintenance, QC and cleaning of complex and critical equipment used for liquid handling and automated filling.Perform and/or supervise operation of equipment used for automated filling, capping and labeling of tubes and bottles (Automated Filling Station).Supervise/Perform formulation of reagents for automated filling station.Support Reagent Manufacturing team by stocking items, tracking inventory and performing cycle counts of inventoried items.Able to recognize, troubleshoot and rectify problems with automated filling station and liquid handling robots through basic repairs or adjustments.Develop SOP for maintenance, QC, operation and repair of automated filling station and liquid handling robots.Train and support direct reports.Develop SOPs for trainingRecognize chemical components and minimize affect of automated filling on reagent stability/performance.Establish procedures and documents necessary for ISO certification of fill and finish lab.Schedule and manage resources.

 

Education and Experience:Bachelor degree in engineering or scientific discipline and 4+ years of direct of experience or equivalent direct experience of 8+ yearsExperience in pharmaceutical or biotech environmentSupervisory or lead experience GMP and ISO experience Experience working with a LIMS or similar database desiredProven analytical capabilitiesAbility to communicate clearly and coordinate with other funcitonal groups (Engineering, Materials, Auktomation Development and Services).
