Manager / Associate Director, Manufacturing Development
Manager / Associate Director, Manufacturing Development
Genta Incorporated is an oncology focused biopharmaceutical company located in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. We are looking for a talented scientist with formidable manufacturing development experience to play a key role on our manufacturing team. This is a dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to get involved and make a difference!
Primary Responsibilities:
* Manage the development, planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing
methods and operations for all products and technologies at third party vendors.
* Lead productivity team to drive down cost while maintaining quality and safety.
* Lead scale-up and validation for drug product and analytical method with third parties.
* Support preparation of CMC documents.
* Manage production forecasts and effectively interact with third party vendors and supply chain
staff to improve the supply chain.
* Actively interact with Genta partners.
* Support alternate formulations.
Qualifications:
* B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Pharmacy.
* Advanced degree preferred.
* 6-10 years industry experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
including knowledge of all aspects of the manufacturing process, technology, product
development and commercialization.
* Knowledge of all governmental regulations regarding management of pharmaceutical
entities.
* Successful experience in negotiating and managing third-party manufacturers.
* Experience in interaction between development and manufacturing.
* Experience in managing/working with alliances is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Travel up to 25%.
