Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis
Summary:
Position objectives include providing analysis, forecasting, budgeting and management support to Senior Management. This position will serve as the contact point between the functional teams within the company and the planning function. The position requires strong technical skills to support planning systems including Hyperion. Involvement in various special assignments will also be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Director of Business Planning & Analysis and play a key role in leading the financial planning, forecasting and analysis activities for the organization.Responsible for coordinating the annual budget and monthly forecasting process.Responsible for the financial analysis of G&A expenses (shared with Reporting Manager). This includes budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and writing comparatives. Detailed legal expense tracking.Benchmarking of competitors, our industry, as well as analysts expectations. Analyze current procedures and practices and make improvements where necessary. Integral member of computer system implementations as they relate to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.Special projects as required.
Education and/or Experience:Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalentCPA/MBA preferred6-8 years related experienceKnowledge of JD Edwards & Hyperion preferred
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:Ability to analyze income statements, balance sheets and cash flows Advanced Excel abilities with strong modeling and analytical skills Familiarity with budgeting and planning systems Detail oriented and able demonstrate strong time-management skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
