Job Description: Primary Function: Responsible for evaluating all auditory designs in production; and in R&D, before they are qualified for production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Hands on Manufacturing Engineering manager responsible for questions and decisions about auditory mechanical devices and processes. This position requires the ability to supervise a group of direct and indirect reports. The manager is responsible for leading the transfer of new designs from R&D into production, for supporting and achieving the cumulative survival rate, quality and yield for auditory implantable devices, for working with the R&D department from the initial concept phase and into production to insure the quality and business objectives are met.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Implantable Medical Devices: Strong mechanical Design and Manufacturing Experience, Specific knowledge relating to the design, and manufacture of hermetic devices, catheters or implantable leads, is required. Knowledge of implantable materials, material bio-compatibility, tolerancing, dimensioning and familiarity with regulatory requirements for implantable devices is required. 2. Technical leadership: Have a record of successful product transfers into production as a manager to gain the respect and support of his peers and subordinate staff. 3. Operating Style: Self-starter, hands on, direct and clear communicator, honest, genuine, confident and secure. Good interpersonal and motivational skills are a necessity. Must possess a broad technical and application knowledge base with strong analytical skills. 4. Ability to communicate, influence and garner support for designs and initiatives

Experience:
Total experience: Minimum of 7 years experience in the design and manufacture of implantable medical devices with a minimum of 3 years in the mechanical design of implantable medical devices. 2. Minimum of 5 years manufacturing engineering experience. 3. Minimum of 3 years Management experience.


Education & Training: BSME or MSME
Technical Training: Evidence of continuing education in technology development and applications as well as advanced manufacturing tools and processes.
