Position Description:

. The primary purpose of this position is to support the Brand Teams by using primary and secondary market research to guide strategic and tactical decision-making efforts.

. Proactive development of specific qualitative and quantitative primary market research studies to meet information needs of brand team(s) based on shifting market dynamics.

. Proactively seeking feedback and guidance from senior managers, associate director, or director in the process of research development. Creation of integrated summaries of different sources of information including primary and secondary market research as well as other intelligence sources.

. Use market knowledge and research expertise to identify patterns within the data, construct insights and articulate actionable recommendations.

. Under the guidance of senior manager, associate director, or director work directly with brand team to identify key information needs and ensure needs are being met.

. Evaluation of market research vendors and proposed methodologies.

. Proactively seeking feedback and guidance from senior managers, associate directors or directors as appropriate in the process of evaluation.

. Day to day vendor management to insure high quality timely deliverables for the brand team.

. Generate weekly and monthly reports that enable marketing to track the performance of each brand and their competitors over time.

. Be able to provide findings to support forecasting function for all in-line as well as launch and pre-clinical brands.

. Presentation of research findings to brand teams Cross-functional "internal selling" of the research findingsProactively learning advanced research techniques hand-on as well as in a training environment.

Qualifications:

Education:
. Bachelor's degree required.Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:
. At least 5-8 years of experience in primary market research role, preferably in a Pharmaceutical and Diabetes environment.
. Experience in pharmaceutical secondary data preferred (e.g., IMS, Verispan, Wolters Kluwer, etc)

Professional Skills:
. Knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies.
. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market research is a must.
. Experience with current market research techniques.
