 Manager of Research and Development - New Product Development

 

Responsibilities:

 

?Provide recommendations on the feasibility of new products and dosage forms

?Develop timelines for new product development and ensure project schedules and costs are within guidelines and budget

?Manage new product development activities and assign projects to appropriate teams and provide direction to solve complex drug development issues

?Ensure a smooth transition with pilot plant scale-up and technical transfer working closely with Manufacturing to resolve technical issues

?Hire, develop, mentor, and coach R&D employees

?Ensure that SOPs are being followed and that all activities are within GMP standards to meet FDA regulations

 

Requirements:

 

?PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmaceutics, PharmD, or related field is strongly preferred.

?Minimum of 8+ years in Pharmaceutical Drug Development primarily in Solid Dosage (RX or OTC, branded or generic) from pre-formulation through pilot plant / clinical manufacturing

?Demonstrated leadership skills and prior experience leading a development team

? Must be able to solve complex issues in drug development
