Manager of CTAs

We are currently seeking individuals with an extensive clinical background to fill multiple positions as a Manager of CTAs in the South San Francisco, CA area. The Manager will be accountable for the functional management of Clinical Trial Associates (CTAs) ensuring successful protocol level execution of all clinical operations deliverables. The Manager of CTA's will monitor the ongoing performance of eight to ten CTA's. He/she will ensure that the CTA's are trained and proficient in the incorporation of SOPs and ICH/GCP guidelines into clinical trial execution. They will also be responsible for resource planning, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for the CTA group, ensuring timely and optimal allocation of staff to all priority projects. He/she will communicate with Senior Management on resource requirements and staff performance and participate in management meetings to plan and implement operational activities. The ideal candidate will also strive to optimize and continually improve processes, create and maintain role definitions and standards.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree (Master Degree preferred) with at least seven years of clinical research experience, including three to three years experience in a supervisory role, either as a functional manager or co-accountable for team performance. Ideal candidates will have a thorough knowledge in several complex therapeutic areas and a comprehensive knowledge of ICH/GCPs.
