Manager of Multimedia Resources & Photographer

The successful applicant will oversee the daily operations of our Multimedia department, including providing A/V support, graphic art and photography services. In this high visibility position, you will serve as Salk's principle photographer and will develop information and technology strategies to support the Institute's objectives. Responsibilities include supervising a staff of four, managing vendor relationships and overseeing/implementing technical components and concepts surrounding the Institute's A/V needs. Will also make recommendations regarding future needs, cost effective strategies and improving applications and technological performance.

 

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years photographic and non-linear editing skills (with professional portfolio); advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Final Cut Pro; expertise on both Mac and PC platforms; and the ability to produce and oversee high quality photography for Salk publications and Websites. You must have a demonstrated customer service focus, initiative, creativity, sound budgeting skills and consensus-building abilities.
