Manufacturing Engineer II

VivoMetrics, Inc., an innovative patient monitoring and healthcare information company, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. Incumbent will support the manufacturing of equipment by our vendors to produce a quality product that is deliverable as needed. Create electronic prototypes and transfer them into manufacturing. Help in creating reliable manufacturing processes that can be easily transferred to vendors. Identify critical steps in processes that need testing and develop or refine test procedures. Close interaction between equipment vendors to continually create a quality product. Constant effort to cut costs. Own a reliable car and must be able to travel often to local manufacturers and to company facilities.

 

Position requires standing and/or sitting up to 8 hours a day. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Proficiency in soldering and in using hand tools.

 

2 yr degree or greater, plus 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on input of manufacturing processes.  Proven cost saving abilities. Excellent communications skills and ability to work with a variety of people including software engineers, project managers, scientists, and others; Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Products. Must have the ability to carry out orders and manage tasks well. Minimum 2 years electronics training. Ability to read electronic schematics and CAD drawings. Prototyping experience, preferred electrical or electronic. Experience in a medical device industry a plus. Machine shop background a plus.
