We are seeking a motivated, energetic individual for a Manufacturing Technician II position. Position Objective
The Manufacturing Technician 1 in the Dispensing Department is responsible for performing activities associated with the preparation of product into its final salable configuration. Will also provide shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts and equipment.
Essential Functions
Perform manufacturing and assembly of Class 1 medical device cell culture products in accordance to current good manufacturing practices.
Operate semi-automated and automated manufacturing equipment.
Perform product movements in appropriate data base, and in physical locations.
Weigh, measure and check raw materials to assure batches manufactured contain proper materials and quantities.
Maintain records to comply with regulatory requirements, GMP?s and standard operating procedures.
Maintain files and documents in work and excel.
Maintain equipment and rooms in proper operation condition and proper cleanliness requirements.
Perform activities in controlled environment up to and including classified clean room conditions.
Communicates changes are issues that affect department or other departments in a timely manner.
Receive materials and/or finished goods on a daily basis. Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
Examine, sort, arrange, count, store, pick, and pack items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
Prepare routine documentation. Operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, dock lever, etc.).
Prepare and ship materials and/or finished goods in a timely manner according to customer requirements
May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Nature and Scope
This position largely interacts with equivalent levels of internal personnel. That interaction requires good communication skills and customer service skills. The job encounters recurring work situations of a routine nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; errors in work could cause delays in schedules. The incumbent normally receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instruction on new assignments.
Education:
Associates degree in life sciences or equivalent field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience (high school diploma required).
Experience:
No previous experience is necessary, but laboratory exposure a plus.
Good computational skills.
Good multi-tasking and time management skills.
Ability to work under time constraints and with changing priorities.
The proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures; written and verbal instruction, and to meet schedules required. Working knowledge of business computer software with logistics related databases desired.
