DESCRIPTION

The Market Research Analyst is responsible for providing the Sales & Marketing teams and, ultimately, the Senior Leadership Team, with data and analyses to support high quality business decisions. Using sound market research and analysis skills, as well as strong critical thinking, the Market Research Analyst will support Product Managers with preparation of sales forecasts of new and existing products as well as perform market assessments to determine where to most effectively position Eisai products against competitive products. This position will also provide support for ad-hoc analytical requests from Eisai brand teams. The individual in this role will design both primary and secondary market research studies as well as manage various market research projects from inception to reporting. This position will work with suppliers and co-promotion partners to explore new answers to marketing questions.

QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred. 1 year experience in a market research analyst position with a pharmaceutical or healthcare company preferred. Analytical skills required, including experience in forecasting. Experience understanding databases available in the pharmaceutical industry as they relate to prescription products and market research. Knowledge and understanding of the primary care and managed care markets. Experience working with IMS and/or Verispan data. Familiarity with statistical software such as SPSS and SAS. Strong PC skills (MicroSoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
