Material Handler

Responsibilities:

*Performs medium to heavy material handling functions within the department, moving product and components within the department as required.

*Set-up the catching lines which includes adjustment of rails and set-up and operation of the Video Jet machines.

*Loads and unloads sterilization trucks and bulk boxes with product for further processing.

*Care and attention required in handling and moving materials and in checking and verifying product identification numbers.

*Operates hand or power equipment to move materials throughout the department. 

*Awareness of machinery and nearby personnel to avoid injury when moving components throughout the department.

*Complete Documentation, line clearances and discards rejects following appropriate SOP?s.

*Complete fork lift training and testing to operate an electric or propane powered fork lift. 

*Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

*Follows GMP guidelines, safety procedures, SOPs at all times.

*Works in other functions within the department as needed.



 Requirements:

* High School Education or equivalent.

* Good communication skills, including the ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.

*Good previous work history with good attendance. 

*Ability to perform simple arithmetic and be able to use a calculator for determining units packaged.

* Manual dexterity.
