Method Deveopment Chemist I

The Method Development Chemist I will perform tasks related to the development, validation and troubleshooting of new and existing product sample inspection, analysis and stability methodologies.

 

Responsibilities:Develop, troubleshoot and validate testing methodologies by analyzing and documenting samples of raw materials, products in process and finished products.Prepare validation and testing protocols and reports.Write and review SOPs.Assist other Chemists and Technicians as necessary.Perform routine laboratory maintenance tasks, including but not limited to calibration and minor repair of equipment as necessary, lab cleaning and organization and disposal of chemical wastes.Prepares and maintains reagents and standards.Reviews notebooks and documentation as required.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Minimum Requirements:Associate?s Degree in Chemistry or related science, or equivalent work experience.  Bachelor?s degree preferred.Minimum of two years method validation experience in an analytical laboratory setting.Exceptional oral and written communication, math and organizational skills.  Ability to utilize IBM compatible PC.Analytical and Instrumentation skills required.  (HPLC, dissolution, UV-Vis, bench chemistry)Must be able to work independently and as a functional part of a team.
