Oncology Target Validation Automation Associate (non-PhD)

The candidate will join the Cancer Genetics group, an integrated team of 12 scientists responsible for identifying and validating new oncology targets and synergistic drug interactions. This person will develop cell-based assays, facilitate the automation of those assays, and conduct medium to high throughput experiments. The candidate will independently analyze, interpret, draw conclusions and develop new lines of experimentation. The candidate will be expected to draft reports, prepare presentation slides, and properly document experiments. The interactive nature of this position allows one to acquire new skills and to work in a cooperative environment.

Qualifications
The candidate should possess a Masters degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Proven hands-on laboratory skills involving cell assay development, laboratory automation, high throughput screening, compound management, cell culture techniques, and data analysis/interpretation are a must. Experience with molecular biology techniques, RNA interference, combination screening, and previous management experience are a plus. The candidate should be highly collaborative, self-motivated, team-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.
