ConMed Linvatec is currently recruiting for several key Microbiologist/Laboratory positions:

Microbiologist ? coordinates and conducts bioburden, growth promotion, water analysis, sterility, pyrogen and other support testing as required; Evaluates lab test data and investigates out of limit excursions; provides microbiological and chemistry expertise to design teams.  BA/BS in microbiology or closely related field plus two years lab experience in med device environment.  Experience in cytotoxicity and EO residual testing is highly desirable.  Capable of working with blood and other materials of biological origin.

 

Lab Supervisor ?Provides hands-on lab supervision including oversight of lab technicians as well as microbiological testing of products for sterility, bioburden and environmental monitoring, and other micro test methods as required.  Ensures cGMP  and FDA compliance of laboratory and laboratory documentation.  Supervises lab technicians and ensures that all appropriate training in cGMPs/QSRs, SOPs, company policies and procedures and safety training is conducted.  Analyzes and interprets microbiological test data, and provides tech support on matters pertaining to microbial control, sterilization, and biocompatibility.  Typically requires a BA/BS in microbiology or closely related field. Registered or Specialist Microbiologist certification is highly desirable. Minimum 3 years medical device lab experience, one of which in a supervisory role. Must have a thorough knowledge of medical device regulations and industrial sterilization and control.
