PA - Analytical Chemist in Industrial Analytical Development, 12 months + contract

Yoh Scientific is currently working with a major pharmaceutical client in Malvern, PA that has a contract Analytical Chemist opening within the Industrial Analytical Development Department.This position is expected to last at least 12 months with the possibility of renewal.  Qualified candidates please email resume and contact information.

Duties:

Supports the analytical testing and development of marketed products for industrial and R&D functions.



Testing of products involves the utilization of chromatography, dissolution, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry techniques.



Position also supports method development.



Supports laboratory function by maintaining a clean work environment including proper disposal of reagents and sample preparations in a timely manner once the analysis has been approved.



Monitors reagents, solvents and reference materials for proper labeling, storage conditions and expiration date.



Reads and understands how to apply all applicable SOPs.



Attends all required training sessions including GLP, GMP and safety training.



Applies basic scientific principals and techniques to complete experimental/analytical assignments under supervision.



Recognizes abnormal situations and is able to provide information to understand and rectify the situation.



Maintains properly documented and detailed records of experimental processes and results.



Communicates with supervisor, customers and co-workers in a clear and timely manner.





Skills:

Is able to perform HPLC analysis for assay and stability testing.



Supports R&D by testing different materials utilizing analytical instruments, such as FT-IR, UV-Vis, etc, and wet chemistry techniques.



Adhere to GLP and GMP regulations.



Be able to perform job function in the presence of auditors.



All experimental details must be recorded precisely and clearly in the laboratory notebook as the experiment is conducted.





Education: BS Chemistry or other science.
