We are currently recruiting for a Packaging Engineer for a great client of ours that is based in the Nashville, Tennessee area. This is a full-time position with great compensation, benefits and relocation for the right candidate.

Listed are the main duties and responsibilities as well as requirements we are looking for in a candidate:  

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Develops new package requirements and maintains quality of existing packages for all product groups. Defines package requirements for product groups and customer requirements. Determines packaging requirements according to the nature of the product, cost limitations, legal requirements and the type of protection required, taking into consideration the need for resistance to external variables. May be responsible for coordination of clinical and commercial project activities and logistics at secondary contract packaging and labeling sites. Using appropriate tools performs integrity analysis of packages.Responsible for performance of manufacturing process development and validation.Facility design and process improvements resulting in improved yields and costs of goods.Maintain regulatory compliance to US and international standards for functional area.

 

Requirements: BS in related engineering discipline 2 to 5 years pharmaceuticals / medical device packaging experience Experience with contract packaging operations Experience with sterile processing and terminal sterilizationPackaging equipment engineering / validation Aseptic manufacturing experience a plusKnowledge of Word, Excel, Project, and experience with CAD applications
