Pharmaceutical Sales Representative - Portland, OR

We have a strong product pipeline with both NCE"&tm;s and specialty products that we will be launching over the next several years.

The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is responsible for selling a full range of pharmaceutical products within an assigned territory. The representative services existing accounts, develops prospects, and coordinates sales/marketing presentations. At the beginning stages of a representative"&tm;s career, he/she will work more closely with senior sales representatives in making calls and presentations, and becoming familiar with his/her territory.

As the Pharmaceutical Sales Representative career progresses, he/she develops a more advanced level of product knowledge and develops stronger selling skills. The more senior representatives engage in more independent sales activity including independent development of proposals and presentations. He/she may have special accounts, provide technical assistance or training to other sales staff, and/or manage special projects/programs.

Further development within the sales representative function is shown through the ability to execute field test marketing, the ability to analyze his/her own territory, and identifying new business. He/she will have developed a broad and in-depth knowledge of what derives sales opportunities and develops strategies to positively influence the achievement of sales goals.

Required Skills:
Bachelors degree and at least one year of either sales (B2B or inside sales), medical background, or teaching experience required.
