Pharmaceutical Senior Sales Training Manager

Fast growing mid-sized pharmaceutical company with major launches planned for 4th Qtr 2006. This position manages all training for a company franchise as well as 3 sales training managers. Proactively, plans, implements and facilitates technology and distant learning initiatives and advance training for CNS products and management training.? These Sales Training programs will be developed in conjunction with sales management and marketing to ensure that sales representatives are adequately trained to sell company's products.?

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

?

Advanced and on-going CNS Training Programs:Curriculum and training program development (e.g. audio tapes, CD-ROM programs)Implementation and manage the programUpdate product Sales Training modules Create training workshops (e.g. role-play exercises, probing questions)Develop and implement training documents in conjunction with Product Manager for approved reprints and promotional material?Assist and/or facilitate the development of workshops for Plan of Action and The National Sales Meeting?Develop and distribute field communications on a regular basis (i.e. New Product Bulletins, Journal Club, FAQs, etc.)Plan and lead the Promotional Review Meetings to obtain approval on new curriculum

Additional Responsibilities:Assist in the planning and facilitation of training at the National Sales MeetingAttend seminars, medical conventions and consultant dinnersDevelop, coordinate and manage Area Sales Trainers roles and responsibilitiesAssist Area Manager in providing additional training for employees on a Performance Improvement PlanDevelops close working relationship with Medical Affairs (e.g. Professional Services Department, Publication) to facilitate the dissemination of new information to the Sales OrganizationAssist in the planning and implementation of organizational Sales Training initiatives (e.g. creation of intranet page, distant learning, e-learning)Provide product training support for international licensees and affiliatesReview literature monthly and prepare summaries of various articles for the Sales Training Journal ClubDevelop and maintain the Learning Management System, Content Management System,? other electronic methods to deliver trainingDevelop and report metrics on various measurement toolsFacilitate the development of web based training programsSpend field time with Territory Sales Specialists to coach on product knowledge.

Requirements

BS/BA degree in Business, Science, Communication or related field. MBA a plus.

Only those with Pharmaceutical sales training experience will be considered. Candidate must have in-house sales training experience (not field trainer) and also must have experience managing sales trainers. Previous CNS and/or management development training (i.e. Area Management, Managed Care) experience preferred, as well as pharmaceutical sales experience in the CNS marketplace. ?Other therapeutic experience will be considered but CNS highly preferred.?

Strong presentation, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills .

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Computer proficiency in Windows environment including Word, Excel and Power Point
