Pharmacovigilance Assistant

Summary of Duties:   Enters preliminary/follow-up information from source documents into an adverse event database.
Review reports for accuracy and consistency of documentation; Uses labeling references for determining labeled status, and standard references for concomitant medications and indication codes.
Prepares a medical narrative and prints regulatory reports (CIOMS I and Medwatch).
Codes all adverse events using MedDRA terminology.
Involved in short term projects involving data clean-up and data extraction for reports.


Requirements for Job Function:

 
BS degree in a Biological science
1-2 yrs experience using medical terminology and coding systems.
Proficient in Word, Excel & Oracle.
Previous experience in ARISg a plus!
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
