Axcan is seeking a Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) Business Unit Manager.  Photodynamic therapy, a treatment now being used in patients with certain types of cancer and High-Grade Dysplasia (HGD) associated with Barrett?s esophagus, uses a combination of a photoactive drug (a drug that is activated by light) and light from a laser. Both work to allow the doctor to specifically target and destroy cancer cells while limiting damage to surrounding healthy tissue. The primary responsibility of the PDT Business Unit Manager is to successfully implement sales and marketing plans, achieve or exceed sales goals for volume and profitability, manage field sales representatives and expenses in the PDT Business Unit. The PDT Business Unit Manager must demonstrate strong management skills in planning, organizing, problem solving, leadership, coaching and counseling, excellent oral and written communications and an above average ability to effectively interface with others.
