Postdoctoral Fellow - Molecular Immunology

The Developmental and Molecular Pathways division is looking for a talented, self-motivated postdoctoral fellow. The fellow will participate in interdisciplinary research to elucidate the signal transduction pathways which control the growth, differentiation and effector function of a novel subset of CD4+ T cells. Utilizing genomic and proteomic methodologies the fellow will characterize novel components in the pathway and determine functional importance in cell based assays. These studies will lead to the discovery of novel targets with therapeutic potential in autoimmune disease, inflammation, and organ transplant rejection.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular or Cellular Biology
Strong knowledge base and laboratory research experience in the field of Immunology
Experience working with primary T cells (e.g. isolation, purification, and in vitro culturing)
Solid molecular biology and biochemistry skills
Proficiency in manipulating genetic pathways using cDNA overexpression, dominant negatives, and gene knockdowns using RNAi
Familiarity with retroviral and lentiviral delivery techniques
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
