Pro-E Lead Design Engineer

6 Month Contract to Direct Position

Objective:

 

We are in search of an experienced Pro-E user that can manipulate and build models for a diverse product family.  A standard library of parts exists, however not in Intralink.  Creating Standard Models is our current major project, however custom orders are frequent.  Our product line consists of 6 families with varying degrees of iterations. We ideally would like to use as much of the existing work possible, however will consider requests to reconstruct models as needed.  Fast paced environment.  Growing company.  Benefits package accompanies full-time position.

 

Requirements:

 

Must be able to draw quickly and efficiently.  Accurately check own work.

 

Must be working in Pro-E Wildfire 2.0 currently, Intra-link, and building part libraries ? helpful if some knowledge in sizing pumps, motors, and vessels for pharmaceutical industry.  Also a plus is experience with steam calculations.

 

Should have a strong knowledge and understanding of Pro-programming.  Must be able to use efficiently.

 

Strong understanding of building parametric models properly (i.e. constraints, interferences, tolerances, etc.) Holes need to align on mating parts, no parts interfering, etc.

 

Strong understanding of engineering design principles and practices as defined in Machinery?s Handbook. 

 

Must be a self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work with little or no supervision

 

Team player, great communication skills, open and honest

 

Responsibilities:

 

Using existing models, access existing (create where necessary) library that can be quickly accessed to build standard systems.

 

Will author and assist in the writing of modeling and design standards.  Also organize and setup of Intralink system.

 

Able to review own work for accuracy and completeness against customer & vendor specifications.

 

Deliver complete and accurate design packages in a timely manner (based on a schedule) for production team and customer reviews.

 

Help build and follow a company standard company for building models, naming files, storing files, and intra-link organization.

 

Interface with internal knowledge base (discuss before making changes) to ensure proper design of system.

 

Provide presentation 3D models/renderings to support sales team.

 

Complete redlines of built systems and external vendor equipment in a timely manner.

 

Responsible for interacting and negotiating with vendors to achieve pricing and delivery for major components.

 

Support sales and production teams with documentation of systems as needed.

Knowledge ASME-BPE/Pharmaceutical

Leadership experience

 

Education:

 

5-10 years experience; Degree preferred.  Years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree for the right candidate with demonstrated ability
