Process Controls/Maintenance Technician III

The Technician will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining Facilities Process Controls, Software and Automation systems to include but not limited to: the Building Management System, Computerized Maintenance Management System, Security/Access Control, SCADA, other process control systems. The Technician will assist in the vendor evaluation, software/upgrade selection, developing, testing, and encoding processes and will work closely with the Information Technology, Validation, and Quality Assurance Departments to ensure FDA compliance, software adaptability, and user acceptance. New system requirements will be determined by the overall business and process control needs and strategies of the organization. Some SQL, SCADA, Allen Bradley, HTML, Java, and other programming language knowledge will be necessary for back-end troubleshooting and modifications. This role will also, plan, direct, and coordinate the organization's subcontracted building services and set contractor policies and procedures for smooth operation. The position is also responsible for collecting and analyzing data to evaluate operational difficulties and provide solutions to management on specific and general difficulties. The Technician will troubleshoots issues with existing or developed systems and work with the appropriate resources to resolve them as well as primarily operate systems from a front-end capacity and review and test programming and applications systems. The selected Technician will also write functional, operational, and user requirements and testing protocols; then coordinate Information Technology, Validation, and Quality Assurance efforts for automated cGMP system modifications and installations.

This position requires 5 or more years of facilities experience within a biotech facility (must be solid with GMP) and have proven PLC (Allen Bradley) experience. A Bachelor's degree or technical degree is required.
