Process Engineering Manager II (Imaging) 14309

Job Description: Responsibilities: The Process Engineering Manager will have responsibility over a product franchise or core technology. Devote a significant portion of time to managerial, leadership, and employee development of a complex or large department or staff. Provide guidance and training to staff, assist subordinates in attaining career goals, motivate individuals to achieve results, and recruit and maintain a high quality staff. Execute and manage Process Development goals and strategies. Manage execution of the functional deliverables associated with the TDP/PDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
Establish and drive Integrated Business Plan (IBP) deliverables and champion technical excellence for product development. Determine appropriate staff levels, schedules and resources. Work with other managers to understand priorities and plan resources and time allocation accordingly. Ensure compliance to quality system requirements. Champion succession planning by hiring and developing future PD top performers and leaders that can take on key technical and management positions within the organization.
Participate in and influence TDP and PDP project development activities. Champion efforts on developing or recognizing, executing and managing key engineering tools and best-demonstrated practices throughout the PD organization. Initiate cross-functional partnerships to identify and resolve technical and systems issues. Develop departmental objectives and metrics and drive execution of them. Partner with R&D and Operations to develop and execute budgets.

Requirements:
Typical minimum education /years experience: BS in Engineering or applicable field (MS preferred). 9 years of technical/professional experience; 5+ years people management experience. Medical device experience in catheter technology is preferred.
