Job Summary:

As Illumina's Product Manager- Genotyping you will manage an existing portfolio of products as well as define new products, develop strategic product definitions, provide feedback from customers and work closely with R&D and other departments to ensure the products meet the high standards of Illumina. As a Product Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the product life cycle ranging from setting product definitions, pricing, lead product core teams and launch activities. You will work closely with other departments like Sales, Support, Finance, R&D and Manufacturing.

 

Job duties include but are not limited to: Customer satisfaction, profitability, forecasting and gross margin analysis for genotyping-specific products and services. Develop market materials for specific applications and set product specifications in  collaboration with related departments.Develop and implement worldwide strategic plans for the genotyping application to maximize adoption of Illumina's genotyping approach in the marketplace. Collaborate with the Marketing Communications group to develop product messaging that you can position in the market place and implement tactical programsStay current on competitor activities and define differentiators

 

Education and Experience: Bachelor or Master in Biological Sciences, Genetics or related field. MBA a plus. Experience with DNA microarray technology and genotyping applications is preferred.Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience working with Marketing Programs.Basic experience with Direct Marketing campaignsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsIndependent and strategically minded. Sales or customer facing responsibilities a plus.Good project management and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to give customer facing presentations.
