Product Specifications Data Specialist

Position Overview Currently available is a Specification Specialist in Greensboro, NC.  The primary function of this role is to lead the preparation, review and loading of specification data related to all global products, interpret requests for additions and changes to specifications and analyze the impact of requests per governmental regulations, make recommendations for translation of specification requests into technical solutions and ensure accurate and timely data loads in support of product development.

 

Principal Responsibilities

? Mapping data loads and ensuring accuracy. Co-leading teams in the preparation of specification data for loading, including technical information, labels, MSDS information, etc.

?Working closely with IS, Technology Transfer staff and other global gatekeepers in ensuring accurate and timely data transfers, consistency in processes and the adoption of best practices across all divisions.

? Receiving product specification and change requests, determining the scope of requests and ensuring adherence to all business rules and governmental FDA/DIN/EPA regulations. Manage all new and revised specification requests.

? Establishing framework and assigns team members as necessary to complete product specification work requests.

? Providing training to team members, project personnel and group staff members on guidelines for writing product specifications and inputting specifications into the specification system.

Qualifications

?Associate's degree in a technical field, Bachelor's degree preferred.

?  3-5 years related experience.

?  Superior verbal, written, technical and business communication skills.

?  Working knowledge of electronic specification systems and general understanding of PhaseGate product development process. Aptitude for database concepts, management of object-oriented software and experience with Access databases preferred. (EPIC software experience a PLUS)

?  Ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize, problem solve and manage tasks to completion.

?  Attention to detail for processing specification requests for regulated products is essential.

?  Knowledge of FDA/DIN/EPA government rules and regulations related to chemical cleaning and sanitization products preferred.
