Product Support Scientist - Infectious Disease

Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be a technical resource for product support activities associated with the performance of the 13 Advia Centaur infectious disease assays designed to run on the Advia Centaur Immunoasay Analyzer. The candidate must demonstrate established technical expertise in infectious disease immunoassays and their world wide clinical utilization. A good working knowledge of the associated regulations from world-wide regulating bodies pertaining to these products is beneficial. The incumbent must be able to thrive in a cross functional team setting that includes R+D, Marketing, QA, QC and MFG, in a problem solving environment. Will work to resolve assay-related issues and implement corrective and preventive action.

Responsible for participating/leading cross functional teams to achieve problem close-out from both internal and external customers. Responsible for developing and implementing continuous product-improvement activities in an operations environment.

Skills:
Must have experience with infectious disease immunoassays - specifically HBV, HIV, Rubella and Toxosplasma. Problem-solving experience in a customer support role is a plus. Infectious disease experience in a clinical setting is ideal.

Education & Typical Experience:
Typical education would be a Master's Degree in B.S. with 8+ years; M.S. with 2 - 6 years+ years or PhD with 0 - 4 years of proven direct infectious disease experience. with 6 - 10 yrs. experience.
