TITLE:  Production Supervisor

LOCATION:  Rockville, MD

We are seeking an experienced individual to provide direction and general managerial oversight for the manufacturing of pre-clinical and clinical study materials for our vaccine and therapeutic biologics candidates. The individual will be hands-on contributing to the implementation of the  processes and the delivery of the materials. This position will be located at our Rockville, MD facility and will report to the Executive Director, Bioprocess R & D.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Supervise, coordinate and perform day-to-day operations in GMP manufacturing suite, maintain production facility and supplies, execute process and deliver materials for pre-clinical and clinical studies,  Proactively collaborate and coordinate with colleagues from process development team, process validation team, and QA/QC team.Ensure that the manufacturing facility and the laboratories are in full compliance with all cGMP/cGLP requirements.Develop quality improvement plans, procedures, and SOP?s for the laboratories, assist in the investigation of and writing reports of Out of Specification results, non-typical results for both products and process parameters in manufacturing.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 A Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering or closely related field, M.S. preferred.Excellent knowledge of vaccine/biologics development.  Excellent knowledge of regulatory guidelines and GMP requirements.Experience with cell banking, fermentation, cell culture, purification, and analytical tests.Minimum 10 years experience in a biologic production/manufacturing environment.  Previous supervisory experience a must.
