Production Technician II

Spherion, in partnership with a Bio-Pharmaceutical company, has a permanent opening for a 2nd shift Production Technician II.  Working hours are Monday-Thursday, 3pm-1:30am. This is a mid level position in the Manufacturing group.  It utilizes those with experience and the training needed to manufacture pharmaceuticals in a strictly controlled GMP environment.  The employee will progress through a number of job functions and be required to demonstrate increasing skill levels while demonstrating leadership capabilities.Major position responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assigned job duties with the Process and Aseptic areas, and will be expected to begin the learning and training process to acquire proficiency in this area as well.
Learn the functions necessary to work in the Capping and Packaging Operations.  This will include the operations of the pieces of equipment associated with the area.
Learn and become competent in the manufacturing area sanitization procedures.  This will include the Packaging, Clean room and Aseptic areas.
Become certified for entry into the Aseptic Core to be able to perform the sanitization functions.

The successful candidates will posses the minimum qualifications:
HSD or the equivalent and at least (1) year of manufacturing experience in cGMP Manufacturing facility.
Must possess knowledge of and experience in the aseptic filling process along with equipment cleaning, preparation and assembly.  Experience in stopper prep, capping and packaging preferred.
Aseptic gown qualification preferred.
Must be able to comprehend and follow detailed procedural instructions in written and verbal form. 
Must posses adequate working knowledge of arithmetic functions to accurately perform or check calculations required in the product documentation.
Computer skills in MS Office such as Word and Excel  is a plus.
Must have adequate English language skills to read and comprehend GMP compliance documentation as well as SOP's.
