Professional Program Manager

Territories: St. Louis, South Florida & Philadelphia

CV Therapeutics seeks to hire an outstanding individual for the position of Professional Program Manager (PPM).  The key role of the PPM is to identify, support, and develop regional key opinion leaders (KOLs) to support CVT products. The candidate will work under the supervision of the National Director of Professional Programs and collaborate with field efforts to facilitate valuable therapeutic discussions with these key customers.  The PPM will drive the message through the implementation and delivery of field-based professional programs designed in conjunction with scientific marketing, product marketing, and field sales leadership that will help implement market-driven initiatives, and pull through managed care and government sales opportunities. Essential activities include working with medical science liaisons to meet national KOLs and identify regional KOLs; supporting the field force to ensure objectives of event activities are met in each geographic area; providing compliance training to the sales force; strategizing with marketing teams to develop new program ideas; serving as primary interface with medical education vendors; monitoring speaker performance; and reporting progress to division sales managers and regional business directors. The PPM is also responsible for speaker preparation and support; venue selection, logistical coordination, and tactical implementation of speaker events; and alignment and compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including PhRMA, ACCME, FDA, and OIG.

 

The PPM should have a minimum of five years of pharmaceutical experience, including sales representative, educational program implementation, first-hand KOL development, and corporate project or work experience.  Thorough knowledge of the marketplace with cardiovascular expertise and/or extensive experience with cardiovascular products is required.  Hospital selling experience is desirable.  The PPM must have proven budget accountability and management, outstanding communication and organizational skills, in-depth medical/scientific knowledge to support KOL relationships and development, and ability to work in a dynamic start-up environment. The ability to help drive results with effective interpersonal skills to various levels of the organization, to work closely with sales directors and managers, and excellent team skills to help support the sales force are essential traits. Ability to travel 50% of the time with some weekend programs is a requirement. Strong computer skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel are a must.
