Project Manager, Life Sciences

 

Our client, a well respected Chicago-based consulting firm, is currently looking for a project manager to be based in and work in the San Francisco area. Some experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals is mandatory, though doesn't need to be current. The project manager plans, schedules, and controls activities to fulfill identified objectives applying technical, theoretical, and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements. As a project manager, he/she coordinates and integrates team and individual efforts and builds positive professional relationships with clients and associates.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:Manage projects within the established scope, schedule, and
budget while meeting or surpassing Client standards of quality.Estimate resource requirements to complete planned activities.Develop Project Plans and Schedules that represent the
appropriate level of detail and task interdependency.Define the objective, requirements, and assumptions necessary
to structure a project or activity.Develop and document high level strategies for achieving
specific objectives or activities (hierarchical strategy, process flow,
final project summary, etc.).Apply foresight and insight to proactively address risk
management issues.Facilitate and lead effective meetings.Manage change and/or conflict within any project in an
effective, timely, and appropriate manner.Develop accurate resource planning estimates to effectively
manage personal workload and maximize individual productivity and
revenue generation.

 

Requirements:Strong interpersonal skills.Minimum of 4 years of project management experience utilizing
some type of formal PM methodology.At least 4 years of industry experience in large pharma, biotech, or medical devices.Strong skills in resource planning, risk assessment,
timelines, and other major components of effective project management.Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or related
technical field.Displayed potential to grasp strategic concepts and strategy
development skills.Ability to lead and facilitate multiple activities and
resources.Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct.Basic computer usage skills.
