Quality Control Manager

Major Biopesticides manufacturing facility outside of Bakersfield, CA seeks Quality Control Manager to serve operational and business needs by providing testing results and release data for manufactured products.  Provide supervision and direction for the staff of QC Dept and ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with standards and guidelines. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure quality testing for all intermediates and finished goods.  Effectively communicate quality lab testing results with manufacturing and QA.  Ensure that QC data is accumulated, archived in QC database and communicated appropriately.  Maintain laboratory equipment, laboratory supplies inventories, quality assurance programs, and laboratory information systems.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge of relevant entomology of products and of their components.  Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.  Develop and maintain a working budget for department expenses, and be able to provide data for specific cost analyses.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experiences in entomology, biology, biochemistry or related fields.  Entomology background preferred.

Must have hands on technical expertise in analytical and bioassay techniques.

3-5 years supervisory experience in a Quality Control Lab

Extensive knowledge of product testing and release

Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
