R+D Manager I

Job Description: Boston Scientific Endovations, located in Marlboro MA, is currently recruiting for an R&D Simulated Use Lab Manager with strong organizational, clinical and leadership qualities. Responsibilities and qualities of the ideal candidate are as follows:


Ability to develop and manage a simulated use test lab to support the development of Endoscopic devices.

Hands on responsibility for activities related to the design and development of anatomical simulation models

Responsible for planning and budgeting activities related to lab operation

Provide direction for engineers and technicians supporting lab activities

Frequently interact with Marketing and Clinical functions to set lab goals and objectives

Able to develop and maintain project timelines

Manage internal and external resources to ensure lab equipment and supply needs are satisfied

Interface with physicians and nurses in the lab environment to obtain feedback on device performance

Able to write professional reports regarding lab activities and testing results

Maintain proper design history documentation in accordance with Boston Scientific Design Control Procedures.

Education:
Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering or Life Sciences field, Masters degree a plus.

Requirements:

Minimum 8 years experience in medical device development required.

Must be able to travel intermittently (average 10%- 15%) both domestically and internationally
