Major Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated recent Ph.D. graduate to join the research team of Discovery Oncology as a Postdoctoral Employee. Responsibilities will include designing and conducting pre-clinical research studies in molecular oncology. The focus of the group is studying p53 function and its regulation in normal and cancer cells using recently discovered small-molecule antagonists of MDM2 (Science, 2004, 303:844; PNAS, 2006, 103:1888). This position offers the opportunity for a talented scientist at the early stages of his/her career to work at the forefront of cancer research within a leading research-based drug discovery company.

Qualifications:

This position requires a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular or Cell Biology with a record of quality research published in peer-reviewed journals. Prior experience in cancer research in the areas of p53, cell cycle and/or signal transduction is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively in a team-oriented research environment are a must.
